Statement From Lake Minnetonka Athletic Association (LMAA)

The safety of our players, spectators and staff has always been at the forefront of what we do.  The LMAA has been closely monitoring the evolving situation with youth sports in Minnesota and our ability to provide a tackle football season this Fall.  The update released on June 19th from the Minnesota Department of health gives us confidence that will be able to hold our LMAA tackle football season with the appropriate mitigations put in place.  We will continue to monitor the direction from the MNDH as the current epidemiology of the virus continues to evolve within MN.  Given this information we are moving forward with our fall season and are continuing to develop our return to play protocols under the guidance of the CDC, MNDH and USA Football.  We will communicate these measures as they are developed and approved.  We would like to thank you for your patience and support during these unprecedented times and can't wait to see you in August.

Wayzata Plymouth Youth Football (WPYF) is a non-profit volunteer organization dedicated to offering young people in grades 2 through 8 an opportunity to learn the fundamentals of football, the value of teamwork and to have fun doing it.

Our Mission:  We are committed to providing an opportunity for as many children as possible to participate in football under the rules of the league.

As we kick-off the season, know your athletes are in good hands.  Our coaches do a great job as volunteers developing our players.

To ensure the best experience for players, parents and coaches, we have engaged Trusted Coaches to ensure all our Coaches are USA Football Certified, Pass a National background check, have updated concussion training and have completed the "Positive Coaching Alliance" Dual Goal Coaching Course.

Thank You!

Many thanks to our generous WPYF families, who have made contributions to our financial assistance fund. This allows our organization to provide opportunities to all that wish to participate regardless of their financial situation.
